Clonard House, built by William Hatton, a local leader of The
United Irishmen in 1798, is an historic listed house steeped in
the events of times past.
Purchased by John's father, Nicholas in 1937, Clonard House
has been lovingly restored and opened it's doors as a successful
guesthouse in 1980.

Clonard House is an excellent example of Georgian architecture
with elegant high ceilings, spacious reception rooms and furnished
throughout with antiques from the period.
John and Kathleen and their 4 children (Aisling, Avril John and
Andrew) take pride in providing their valued guests with first
class service, excellent food, superior facilities, and most of
all, a genuine warm welcome. A browse through our visitors book
offers testament to our guests' appreciation.

All rooms are en-suite with T.V and hairdryer. Most of our rooms
have four poster beds dressed in antique lace, while all rooms
are equipped with orthopaedic mattresses. Tea and coffee available
at all times and Irish coffees served every evening by the fire
in our inviting drawing room.
