St. Georges Memorial Church, Ieper is a must for the Flanders visitor full of military history flags of long gone disbanded regiments, there is small memorial in front of the font to the Welsh poet Hedd Wynn a pacifist taken to war by conscription. You must also visit the Menin Gate (Ieper) were at 8.00p.m. each night the Buglers of Ieper Fire Brigade sound the last post in respect and memory of the fallen.
