The 2010 West Cork Rally will run on Saturday 20th and Sunday 21st March, 2010.

The West Cork Rally is based in Clonakilty, designated as West Cork’s Heritage Town by Board Failte (Irish Tourism Board), on the sunny East Coast of Ireland.

Although Clonakilty is famous with many for its excellent black & white pudding, it is most famous as the birthplace of Irish patriot Michael Collins who was born there in 1890. He is said to be one of the greatest military and political leaders in Irish history. The national Irish monument to him stands in the town centre. His home, now a museum, is just a few miles out of Clonakilty towards Rosscarbery at Sam Cross.

The West Cork Car Rally runs on St. Paddy’s weekend each year in Clon, as it is affectionately known, on Saturday and Sunday, with an Irish bank holiday on the Monday for all and sundry to recover.

For many years it ran from the Imperial Hotel in the centre of town, but the Car Rally has grown to such an extent that it now uses the hospitality of the Quality Hotel & Leisure Centre just on the outskirts of the town.

The excellent stages of fast Irish tar

and location makes it both exciting

and scenic to do, rallying on the edge

of Clonakilty bay on the famous ring stage.

A strong Irish welcome is a guarantee from the organizers and the town of Clonakilty to all Rally guests.
