Fairfield Motorsport are pleased to announce that the 2010 International Monteberg Rallysprint will incorporate Rally Legends and ex works cars Escort Cup.... the event will run at the South side of Kemmel Hill - the greatest stage of the Ypres (Ieper) Rally, the 2010 Monteberg Rallysprint will adopt a new exciting format in it's 38th year.
Scrutineering and documentation will take place on the Saturday and the competition on Sunday.
Take advantage of the Bank Holiday weekend travel out on Friday or Saturday morning and travel home relaxed on the Bank Holiday Monday !
Based in the village Dranouter, amongst the rolling hills of Kemel, Near Ypres in the Flanders region of Belgium, the event is centered around the famous Kemelberg Stages that are used on the IRC - European Championship event the Ypres (Ieper) Rally (the 24 hours of Ieper).
Competition and spectating are held in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere around the village of Dranouter, which the Monterberg Rallysprint takes over for the weekend and offers you a rally buzz quite unique to Belgium. It is also home to many other festivals in Belgium, and well accustomed to the crowds that come to watch the cars compete.
Whilst you are Scrutineering and signing on for the International event on the Saturday afternoon, a home National event will be going on - so there's plenty to see. This adds to the motorsport atmosphere and gives you a good taster of what is to come on the Sunday.
After the National event finishes on the Saturday, you are usually permitted to
run the course in a car at non competitive speed, but not in a rally car or you will find yourself excluded before you start.
On the Sunday you have three runs of which your best run counts.
If you are looking for a good weekend away and not far to travel from the ferry port of Calais, this is the event to enter.
If you are new to overseas events, the Monteberg Rallysprint is good gateway
and confidence booster to start off with, an inexpensive and enjoyable weekend !

Saturday
13.30hrs. Signing on at Dranouter
Closes 16.30hrs.
Scruitineering at Garage Gruson, Dranouterstraat, Dranouter.
Closes 17.00hrs.
18.00hrs. Publication of the list of admitted participants.
Sunday
09.00hrs. Begin of compulsory practice of the stage 1st & 2nd run
13.00hrs. Start Car No.1 (1st Run)
14.40hrs. Start Car No.1 (1st Run)
16.20hrs. Start Car No.1 (1st Run)
18.00hrs. Results in the tent
18.30hrs. End of reclamations,
official times.
19.00hrs. Proclamation of the
results & prize giving.
There's a wonderful warm welcome awaiting British and Irish crews to this event from the organizers.
Accommodation can be package along side an excellently priced ferry and is available in Ieper,Poperigne and Diksmuide.
